Terms of use

These terms apply to the Chargebook mobile app and the website https://chargebook.in, provided by Kashish Jain in India. By using Chargebook you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

Chargebook lets you record your electric vehicle charging sessions and see costs, range and other statistics. It is currently free to use. We may add, change or remove features, and if we ever introduce paid features we will tell you clearly before you pay for anything.

Your account

• You can use the app without an account. Signing in with your email is optional and enables backup and sync.
• You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since sign-in codes are sent there.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account.

Your data

The charging data you enter belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy.

Estimates, not advice

Costs, cost per km, range, energy and savings figures are calculated from what you enter and from estimates such as charging efficiency. They may not match your bills, your car's readings or your charging operator's receipts. Chargebook is for personal tracking only and is not financial, legal or vehicle-safety advice. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's and charger's instructions.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• try to access other people's data, or interfere with or overload our servers;
• reverse engineer the service to break its security or copy it;
• use the app for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

No warranty

Chargebook is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of important records; you can export them to CSV at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from relying on the app's calculations. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. Continuing to use Chargebook after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
